What about high moisture bales?

Plastic wrap is the most common material used to package high-moisture packages because it's the best way to package them correctly. However, to create a smoother bale surface, Vermeer also recommends wrapping them in netting first. This reduces the likelihood of holes developing in the film. It is also recommended to use mesh wrap rather than rodenticide-treated sisal twine, as the latter tends to degrade plastic films.

Sekeyte recommends at least 6 packages of thick low-density polyethylene cling film with a stretch capacity of 55%. Plastic wrapped bales should be placed from north to south. This helps prevent the sun's UV rays from prematurely degrading one side of the plastic wrap. If the outer shell is damaged, the plastic wrap also needs to be monitored and repaired regularly. To minimize handling and reduce damage, the plastic packaging process needs to take place relatively close to the final storage location. Once the bales are completely wrapped in plastic, do not move or handle them for 12 hours. Squeezing them after this time frame may break the seal of the film layer, possibly exposing the bale to oxygen and restarting the aerobic phase. Aside from the risk of holes, plastic-wrapped bales are relatively low-maintenance after production.
