Ground drying method:
This is a method of preparing hay by drying the harvested forage in situ or transporting it to a relatively high and dry place. Usually, the harvested forage is dried for 4 to 6 hours to reduce the moisture content to about 40%. Use a lawn rake to form grass strips and continue to dry to reduce the moisture content to about 35%. Use a grass collector to gather the grass into a pile to keep it dry. The haystack is loosened and ventilated until the grass is completely dry.
Grass rack drying method:
In relatively humid areas or in seasons and areas with a lot of rain, using the ground drying method to prepare hay will cause the hay to turn brown, black, moldy and rotten. You can use bale net wrap or baler twine to pack the hay to ensure the quality of the hay, and store it in a ventilated and sun-proof place.
